For your Community group

PERFECT FOR ADULTS OR KIDS GROUPS

make a noise for your community

Rhythm Stick's hands-on workshops teach participants to bang out beautiful world rhythms and create their own thumping compositions. These energetic, supportive drum sessions give participants an understanding of rhythm and music, working together as a team to produce one amazing groove.

"Katie was amazing with our group of young people. Very patient and made it fun. This was also a great way of building confidence and letting off steam. Every single young person enjoyed the session. We will be back for more!"
- Project Challenge

After leading drum workshops for 16 years our Community Percussionist, Katie Mallard, has developed teaching style that is energetic and compassionate, allowing participants to really develop their skills let themselves go to enjoy the rhythms. All instruments and full tuition are provided.

How group drumming benefits our health

“While struggling with a very stressful work situation I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't Samba practice to look forward to. You walk in there and all your troubles disappear for a time, putting things into perspective.”
- Anonymous Band member
Drumming can be a fun way to exercise- it increases the heart rate and blood flow, just like a gentle aerobic exercise and can help to tone muscles, particularly on the upper body. Research also suggests that drumming not only serves as a distraction from pain and grief but actually promotes the production of endorphins, responsible for blocking pain signals. Studies also show that even just one hour of group drumming is an effective way to reduce stress and strengthen the immune system, with the added incentive that the more you do it the better you get and the better you feel.
